Our lovely private gardens are filled with lavender, jasmine and roses. Our complete library of music, movies, games and large print books is available for all our residents to enjoy.

It is reassuring to know we are within ten minutes of two major 24 hour emergency centers. Two physicians are on call; and two live-in caregivers provide laundry, bathing and personal care for up to six residents in each of our homes.

The Treetops Difference
When you need the services of a medical provider - such as a Physician, Physical Therapist, Skilled Nurse, or Hospice Nurse - our first step is to arrange for those service providers to come to you. That way, you enjoy the benefit of the care you need without the inconvenience. So, you never have to leave the comfort of Treetops if you don't want to.
Independent Living
A great choice for active individuals or for couples, one of whom may need a little more care than the other. Treetops Independent living combines the privacy and freedom of home with the safety and convenience of on-call help.
Independent living is all about freedom of choice. Resident choose whether they prefer to rent or own, drive their own car or use Treetops transport, eat-in or eat out.
Located in the heart of La Jolla, our independent living residents enjoy all La Jolla offers, including:

Currently, Treetops has only 2 independent living suites available: Both have their own private entrance, mature gardens filled with flowers and swimming pool; both have 2 bedrooms, a private bathroom, a sitting room (one with fireplace; one without), dining area and kitchen. Assisted Living
We do your cooking, your housekeeping, and your laundry... so you don't have to! If you need help with bathing, dressing or medicines, we are there for you.
Share your favorite recipes with us, and we'll cook your favorite meals. Give us your shopping list, and we'll do your shopping for you. Give us your laundry, and we'll return it to you fresh, clean and folded.
In short, we focus on the details of daily life . . . so you don't have to.
Alzheimer's Care
At Treetops, we go to great lengths to create a loving, family home like setting so as to ensure a safe, secure, familiar and consistent environment for residents with Alzheimer's. Each house has a private garden filled with flowers where residents can enjoy peace and quiet. In addition, each house offers a quiet drawing room/library area set aside for viewing photo albums, reading, writing or visiting. Residents soon feel happy and secure in this family setting. But nothing replaces the attention of family and friends. We encourage families to take advantage of local programs and support groups like UCSD Medical Center’s SOCARE (Seniors only care) and the San Diego Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.
Skilled Nursing/Rehab
We do not provide 24 hour skilled nursing care. We do arrange for residents who qualify to receive 24 hour skilled nursing care, often, at no extra cost to the resident. We assist you with the paperwork; and we arrange for such services to be provided in the comfort of our home, wherever possible. If a temporary absence is unavoidable, we work closely with the rehab team to restore each resident's health and to minimize the amount of time away from Treetops.
Respite Care
For seniors who need and deserve a little extra pampering after a hospital visit or who are recovering from an illness.
Short-term Stays
These are a great opportunity for family members to take a break and for residents to see how they like life at Treetops. Many of our most loyal residents started with a short-term stay.
Hospice
Many institutions require you to leave when you no longer meet their criteria. For 15 years, we have passionately defended our residents' right to remain home at Treetops surrounded by family, friends and familiar faces. Our pioneering approach has made it possible for our residents with end-of-life needs to receive high quality hospice care while remaining at Treetops.
Third-Party Services
Wherever possible, we arrange for the services you need, to be provided to you in the comfort of our home.
