The Retreat is a new Residential Care Facility for the Elderly nestled at the foothills of Nipomo, California where the counties of San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara meet near the central coast.
Recently updated and designed to be a cheerful, cozy and comfortable family home for six Residents, this lovely and well-kept home is perfect for those who require assistance with the activities of daily living (ADL), but prefer the privacy, dignity and the comfort of living in a private home.
Another distinct advantage of The Retreat is the higher ratio of Staff to Resident that allows better care for each Resident. Our staff is caring, trained and dedicated to assisting you according to your unique and individual needs and desires.
Our intention is to make a positive difference in the lives of our Residents by providing “home style†care in a safe, stimulating and family-oriented environment. Our Residents health and wellbeing are our priority. We're here for you 24 hours a day.

- The Residence
The Residence is open and light with high ceilings, clerestory windows and abundant natural light throughout. Recently remodeled and professionally designed to accommodate six Residents in a comfortable and cheerful environment.
Private and Shared Bedrooms have been designed with a great attention to detail and include all furniture - from the beds, dresser, comfortable chair, closet or armoire, cable TV with DVD, to the fresh linens and beautiful artwork. However, your room would never be complete without your personality and treasured mementoes! The private rooms are even more flexible.
Our Family Room is cozy with a fireplace and opens to the furnished patio that's protected for comfortable outdoor enjoyment any time of year. Fresh landscaping enhances the setting and attracts a variety of butterflies and birds along with our regular hummingbirds.
The Front Sitting Room is comfortable, cheerful and bright with clerestory windows, ceiling fan and plantation shutters - perfect for reading, entertaining family and friends, or writing letters.
