Located in the foothills outside the small historic town of Somis in one of the most beautiful parts of Ventura County, Somis Living has a setting that few facilities of this type can offer. We are fortunate to be able to offer you a one story custom home on a flat acre that has garden like grounds that is fully fenced with a remote controlled gate at the entry.

Somis Living is a licensed six bed Residential Care Facility for the Elderly that offers non-medical care for residents 60 years old and above. We offer our residents the warmth of a caring and loving family atmosphere where they receive needed assistance while maintaining their highest level of independence.

We encourage residents as well as their families to be involved in the planning and care for our residents. Residents may be ambulatory or non-ambulatory. The philosophy of our facility is to provide a healthful, pleasant living environment that promotes emotional, physical and spiritual well being.

We also strive to provide meaningful social activities and relationships, encourage and assist residents in working toward their goals and respond promptly and appropriately to difficulties that may arise. We monitor medications, both medical and psychiatric. In addition, it is our goal to provide a family like setting where our residents feel important, safe, cared for, listened to and accepted.

We have carefully selected the staff that will cater to the needs of each resident with love and patience. They are experienced, have had the latest training and are genuinely caring people who do what they do because they love it. The owners reside on the property to help insure that the highest standards are met.

We also provide daily house keeping and laundry services ( no dry cleaning), 3 nutritious meals as well as in between snacks deliciously prepared. Transportation to medical and dental appointments is also included.
