Emeritus at Emerald Hills is considered one of Northern California’s premier assisted living and Alzheimer's communities in the area. Located close to Highway 49 and 80 at the base of the Sierra Foothills, our community offers 89 apartments on three floors. Here our residents – in many cases, with their pets – enjoy retirement living. Yet should you need a helping hand from our warm and caring staff, we also offer complete assisted living services, tailor-made to your needs. We’ve designed our services to focus on wellness, helping you maintain or improve your health, so you can live as independently as possible.

Join Their Journey – Alzheimer's and Dementia Care
Our community also offers an innovative memory care program, Join Their Journey®, for seniors affected by Alzheimer’s or dementia. Because your family’s experience will be unlike any other, our goal is to get to know you and your loved one, so that we can offer support and solutions for your individual situation. We “join the journey” of your loved one by recognizing individuality, encouraging choices and allowing residents the dignity to live in a secure, personalized and familiar setting that feels comfortable for them.

Thanks to the pride our residents and staff take in creating a happy family-friendly community, Emeritus at Emerald Hills feels like home the moment you walk through the doors. Our common areas – including our lovely dining room, TV room and library – give residents and their loved ones the opportunity to get to know one another. We also offer a wide range of activities each month, including community outings to various restaurants, casinos and shopping centers nearby. Emeritus at Emerald Hills is also located in a residential area near Gottschalks, Sutter Auburn Faith Hospital and a nursing home rehabilitation facility if ever needed.

As we get older, many of us naturally need a helping hand – perhaps someone to help us get ready for the day, help manage our medications or prepare special meals to fit our unique dietary needs. Sometimes that extra help is all we need to continue living safely on our own.

Our staff is here to offer a helping hand, but only when and if you need it. When you join our senior living community, we’ll take the time to carefully assess your needs before recommending specific assisted living services. In fact, we use a state-of-the-art computerized assessment system (called the Vigilan Resident Evaluation Program), which helps us accurately evaluate, predict and monitor all personal care services for each of our residents.

Sometimes our residents may require a little extra attention or assistance due to Alzheimer's, Dementia or Memory Loss. Emeritus memory care offers a unique and innovative program called Join Their Journey®.

In addition, our Director of Resident Care will visit with you on a regular basis to personally discuss health-related issues and to monitor your progress. We also work with your personal healthcare professionals to arrange on-site visits and rehabilitative therapies as needed.
