This is a simple promise that the staff at Emeritus at Chatsworth – and throughout Emeritus Senior Living communities – has shared since 1979, when our community first opened its doors. It’s a simple promise to be compassionate and kind, understanding and respectful – a promise to become extended family to the seniors entrusted in our care and to our retirees who have chosen our community for its active lifestyle.
Right at Home
Nestled amidst old-growth shade trees on beautifully landscaped grounds with a courtyard, lovely patio garden and walking trails, Emeritus at Chatsworth is considered one of the premier assisted living communities in the San Fernando Valley. Located close to the 118, 101 and 405 freeways, our community offers 172 apartments on two floors. Here our residents – in many cases, with their pets – enjoy retirement living. Yet should you need a helping hand from our friendly, courteous staff, we also offer complete assisted living services, tailor-made to your needs. Our services focus on wellness to help you maintain or improve your health, so you can live as independently as possible.
New friends, new beginnings
With its family-friendly atmosphere, Emeritus at Chatsworth feels like home the minute you walk through the doors. Our common areas – including our lovely dining room, library and TV room – give residents and their loved ones the opportunity to get to know one another. We also offer a wide range of activities each month, including community outings to local casinos, the Descansco Gardens and area museums.
Emeritus at Chatsworth is conveniently located in a residential area with a quiet country-living feel, yet close to our bustling downtown, the Northridge Mall, several grocery stores, Wal-Mart, Bank of America, CITI and Wells Fargo. Two parks – Lanark and Chatsworth – are in the neighborhood. Several medial facilities are also nearby, including Northridge Hospital, Kaiser Permanente and a nursing home rehabilitation facility if ever needed.
At our communities, retirement living and assisted living doesn't mean dependence upon others; it means independence. How? When seniors have the opportunity to meet new people and join in new activities, when they're served three healthy meals a day, when they're taken to their medical appointments and provided the daily assistance they need, their level of functioning improves. And when they're feeling better, they have greater independence and can enjoy life more.
